Terms & Conditions

Welcome to bytestombps.com (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using this site, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1) What this service is

bytestombps.com provides a Bytes/s ↔ Mbps converter (with optional MB/s output) and lets you choose Decimal (SI) or Binary (IEC) scaling for KB/MB. The tool offers formulas, quick tables, and brief guidance to help you understand bits vs bytes and SI vs IEC. The site is for informational and educational purposes only; it is not a network diagnostic, SLA, or legal/financial advisory tool.

2) Your responsibilities

3) Accuracy & scope

We aim for clarity and accuracy (e.g., 1 Byte = 8 bits; Mbps treated as decimal bits). However, outputs can differ from software labels, OS counters, or ISP marketing due to rounding, sampling windows, base-10 vs base-2 conventions, or other factors. The service is provided for general guidance only.

4) Intellectual property

Site design, text, and code are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not reproduce, mirror, or mass-redistribute significant portions without permission, except as allowed by applicable law (e.g., fair use).

5) Acceptable use & technical limits

6) Third-party services

We may use trusted providers for hosting, performance, or analytics. Their terms and policies govern their services. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.

7) No warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that results will be correct for your specific scenario, or that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

8) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from or related to your use of the site.

9) Changes to the service and terms

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms periodically; material changes will be announced in a reasonable manner (e.g., a notice on the site). Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

10) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue and jurisdiction will be in courts located in Pakistan, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
